18 Month Update // I'm now a Stay at Home Mummy & William is going to be a Big Brother!

My baby boy, we have had the biggest month. Mummy finally finished her notice period at work and is officially a 'stay at home mummy'. It still feels like a holiday and we can't do everything we want to just yet as it's half term so a lot of the places I have been so eager to take you are shut, but they are on our April to do list and we are working through the list fast! Your personality is growing so fast, you're expressing no when you don't want to do something, fake crying, fake yawning, fake peppa pig laughing, fake frowning, you see someone doing something once and you pick it up and story time is still one of your favourite parts of the day.

Another life changing moment this month, is that we told family that you are going to be a big brother. Baby is due a few weeks after your second birthday and although we're anxious about life with 2 little ones and finding a house asap, we're so excited for this next step. I've felt really rough these past few weeks, normally we leave the house every day but early pregnancy made getting dressed pretty difficult for Mummy and you took it all in your stride, I'm now on the up and we're getting out each day again and I'm so keen to enjoy every single second of our last few months of it being Mummy and William (and Daddy too).

Milestones -
  • You're going into size 7 shoes (probably 6.5 at the moment but your size 6G's are feeling a little snug).
  • Firmly in age 18-24m clothing and some 2-3
  • Loves balancing on pillows/ books on the floor
  • Loves jumping, on the spot, off steps and jumping into a seat drop
  • Associates the word 'Nana' with any fruit!
  • Makes mummy laugh every day!
  • Hates getting anything on his hands
  • Favourite foods - Cottage Pie, fruit
  • Gives kisses (but if it's not mummy or daddy then he'll just show his head for you to kiss his head).
  • Hates shopping and Mummy much prefers shopping without him too! (only place he has tantrums).
  • Blows his food if it's hot
  • Doesn't like mummy washing his hair
  • One nap a day and 1-2 bottles of milk a day, he has cut his bedtime bottle as it was the one he was least interested in
  • Has become addicted to his dummy whilst teething those last fangs and molars.
  • Loves 'We're going on a bear hunt' and Peppa Pig
  • Hates having his nappy changed
  • Favourite game is chase or running round the house back and forth
  • Keeps trying to use the dogs as tunnels
